Minimum

A computer running Node.js! You can run a virtual lightshow on your own screen :)

Common

A Raspberry Pi with GPIO pins to trigger a relay for AC powered lights (addressable RGB pixel light support coming soon...)

Advanced

lightshowd is ideal for wireless networked configurations. A single server can communicate with any number of clients connected to your router.
